If you are in need of a vehicle, please fill out the form below after reading the following "Things to Remember".
*This is a lengthy form and you may want to "Save Partial Response" (at bottom of form) occasionally while filling it out so that you do not lose any information.
*You will want to get a pen and paper to have on hand as you fill out the form as we will be asking you to add up your expenses and income.
Things to Remember
Availability:
Vehicles are handed out through a matchmaking process, not first come, first serve. That means: first, we need to have a vehicle to choose from; second, we reserve the right to decide the appropriateness of a vehicle based on your needs.
The Process:
Sometimes the process could take a couple of months. This is not a quick fix. We will keep in touch through the process and notify you when a suitable vehicle is found. We rely on donations from the community so the supply of cars can be limited - if no vehicles are donated, no vehicles are given. This also means that the cars come to us in used condition. Although we value giving cars that are functional and ready to be driven, please understand that these used vehicles do not come with warranties.
Applications are only valid for 6 months and then you will be required to re-apply if you haven’t received a car.
Qualifications to receive a vehicle:
- no vehicle currently (we do not provide second vehicles)
- family needs (priority given to single moms, medical needs, employment needs)
Your Job:
Prior to applying, please ensure you call ICBC to settle any outstanding tickets you may have as this will hinder you from registering a vehicle.
Your Response:
It's a great idea to write a "Thank You" note to the donor. If you'd like to do that, we can pass it along to the donor.
Why we do this:
Our goal is life change. Each person has a physical, a spiritual and an emotional component. We think a vehicle can contribute to the physical development of a person's life in a practical way.
